When you ran this poll on your car dealership's website:
  • What was the purpose of your visit to our website today?
  • Were you able to complete your task today?
  • If you were not able to complete your task today, why not?
With the following listed purposes:
  • To research cars
  • To buy a new car
  • To buy a used car
  • To schedule service
  • To buy parts or accessories
  • Other - describe

Of those consumers on your site to buy a new car, how many answered that they were able to complete what they wanted to do?  Please use the poll above to share your opinion on your results.

If you have other comments or observations you wish to share, please do so by replying to this forum thread.

John Meadows, Ecommerce Director at Huffines Auto Group in Dallas, TX who has been on the program at Huffines' Hyundai store in Plano since January of last year went on to say "Our sales results with the shopping cart at our Plano store are such that we have now signed up our entire auto group. I think in 5 years, this will be the only way people will buy a car."

We often spend hours helping one customer over the phone because we want to make sure that customer will be with us long term. So we shoot straight, we tell the get rich quick people they wont get rich and we tell businesses what they can really expect from their website. If you are still on the phone after we tell you that money wont rain down tomorrow, then we know you are realistic and will get great value from your website.
